Michelle is a patient, kind, and knowledgeable teacher. I didn't have any prior experience in singing or music before seeing her. Michelle was my first-ever singing teacher and I loved my learning process with her! Each lesson my voice has improved and we record every lesson so it's easy to practice when I don't have a lesson.
I definitely recommend her to anybody who is looking for a vocal teacher! She is truly one of a kind :-)

I have been singing and playing holy blues and gospel for over 15 years. My personal focus is on early gospel music from the 20'a and 30's, but I teach vocal techniques that can be applied to any genre of music. It is so important to learn proper technique, so that even if you are belting a song out, you are not hurting your voice.

Associates Degree in Jazz Theory and Composition from Mannes Conservatory of Music
I have been playing guitar since I was 14, and have been performing and teaching for over 20 years.
I studied jazz guitar, composition, and theory at the Mannes Conservatory in NYC, NY., and also with several private teachers.
I teach many styles, including rock, pop, blues, folk, and jazz.
(I do NOT play classical or flamenco.)
I tailor my lessons to meet the interests and learning styles of my students. I teach playing by ear, music reading, tablature, and theory. I enjoy teaching students of all ages - children, teens, and adults.
I make lessons fun for young children, by including some musical games and activities. With teens and adults, I have the students choose the songs and styles they wish to work on, and go from there.
I have been teaching music (guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, recorder, music theory, and classes for toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, and adults) for over 20 years. I am also a band/show director at the School of Rock! In addition to teaching music, I also tuto

He is a fantastic teacher, very patient snd creative in finding ways to ensure I understand and internalize concepts. Philippe is talented, accommodating, and most importantly, patient. The process of learning a new language can be frustrating at times but he is a wonderful teacher, adept at navigating roadblocks and ensuring that I don’t become overwhelmed and that the experience is positive.
I’ve had many instructors but none as effective and fun as Philippe!
Philippe is truly a rare and outstanding instructor. He takes the time to tailor our lessons to my specific needs and interests. He also makes himself available outside our lessons for any questions that may arise.
Philippe periodically sends articles and other resources that are of interest. This is an impressive reminder of his dedication to the advancement of each and every student.
Through practicing the language, we have gotten to know each other well, and I truly consider Philippe to be not only my French instructor, but a good friend.
I strongly recommend Philippe without any reservation!
