My number one goal as a teacher is to demystify the voice. Singing can be confusing, elusive and frustrating when you just can't figure out how to create the sound you want. I have felt all these emotions as a student and dedicate my teaching style to helping each student have a solid understanding of how to use their voice correctly and to achieve the sound they desire. Every singer is different, everyone learns and has their "Ah ha" moments from a different inspiration, so I tailor my lessons to cater to each individual's needs. I'm serious about singing, but love to find the fun and joy in the process; It's very important my students feel at ease, comfortable and free to explore their voice without feeling embarrassed or vulnerable, I create an environment that nurtures free exploration to ensure we can discover what you're capable of! As well as voice technique I also offer performance coaching, audition coaching, studio coaching and recording prep, songwriting, and piano for singers. A little about me: British-born, Suzanne hails from a Musical Theatre background, a scholarship student of the UK's acclaimed London Studio Centre, she is proud to the Shelia O'Neil Award winner for "Best All - Round Performer" her graduating year. She has gathered international acclaim for her unique vocal style and her commanding stage presence. A true chameleon of voice Suzanne co-created the successful indie band Dark Furs and Jazz Duo Lux and Lois. She works regularly with acclaimed producers and Music Houses lending her diverse vocal and songwriting skills for other artists as well as creating original music for Film and Television. Suzanne's eclectic background ranging from Musical Theatre to Indie Rock has awarded her with an arsenal of knowledge on technique, (on stage, in front of the microphone, or in the recording studio) as well style, interpretation and performance technique. Suzanne believes the most empowering tool she can teach is to unearth and champion a student's own unique vocal style. You never stop growing as an artist, or a teacher. Suzanne loves to guide students along the journey of working to their best voice.
