    Take lessons with an experienced NYS certified music educator

    I am a patient, caring teacher with NYS certification K-12. Lessons are individualized for each student. You will learn basic technique, theory and repertoire, and then we will focus on the music you want to learn. I teach all styles, ages, and ability levels, and am qualified to prepare you for NYSSMA, all levels. I'd like to give you and idea of what the lessons are like. For younger students, I use a combination of method books and fun songs that your will child will enjoy. For older students and adults, we can go in different directions. For example: rehearsing for auditions, talent shows and concerts, performing original songs, playing duets, improvising solos, using electric keyboards and synthesizers, learning keyboard accompaniment for singers, and much more. And we don't forget the fundamentals. Available for in-home or online lessons (online not recommended for beginners). Please let me know if you have any questions.

    I am a patient, caring teacher with NYS certification in music education and many years of experience in private instruction and in the public schools. Lessons are individualized for each student. You will learn basic technique, theory, and repertoire, and then you will focus on the music you want to learn. We'll work together to make the lessons fun and interesting. Teaching is a way for me to share my love of music. My goal is to see my students learn, progress, and perform on their own. I teach all styles, ages, and ability levels, and specialize in popular, Broadway, jazz and rock. I am qualified to prepare you for NYSSMA, levels I - VI, and can also prepare you for high school, college, and theater auditions. No matter what your musical goal, we can achieve it together.     Jon is an excellent piano teacher, and my two sons adore him. He has the patience to teach young children and instills the joy of music. He is particularly proficient in music theory and is recommended for those who want to play their favorite songs on their own.
