I have a broad formal education in areas related specifically to music and art. Since 2009, I am a voice teacher at French Lycée of Chicago. My first language is French. I hold a master's and a postmaster's degree in voice and "music in performance." I also possess extensive experience in diverse aspects of vocal training, opera, theater, and organizing musical event and concerts. I have been teaching singing for more than 20 years. As a music lover and voice teacher, I feel that my responsibilities are to help young children, teenagers, and adults to discover their vocal and singing abilities in a natural and healthy manner. I also believe it is important to develop an appreciation for all styles of vocal music and to provide musical challenges, musical education, and performance opportunities.

I highly enjoyed having Elain as a voice coach. She helped me to discover my own voice and improve my range. Elaine is very technically knowledgeable in how to improve your voice and I learned much from my lessons with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve upon their singing abilities!

I have been talking lessons with Elaine for almost four years, and she has been wonderful! I love singing but have always been too embarassed to do anything about it and never thought I had any real talent. I am so happy to have taken the plunge! Through working with Elaine, I have developed a newfound confidence, and I can't count the number of times I have been pleasantly surprised at the sound of my own voice! She has a knack for finding pieces and techniques that bring out the best in her students. . I highly recommend you give her a try if you're curious about what your voice can do... It's a freeing experience, almost therapeutic. The time spent together is always filled with laughter. She is very patient, caring, and attentive to her students' needs. I highly recommend her.

For the last four years, I have been taking voice lessons with Elaine and I really enjoy her way of teaching. She gives me many good techniques to develop my voice. She also gives me a lot of confidence to express my feelings in the interpretation of musical pieces that I study with her. I really appreciate her knowledge of voice placement in English, French and Italian because it makes the learning process so much easier. She is very caring about not being to hard on the voice. I love doing the different exercises she proposes. There is variety and lightness in her teaching but also a strong feeling of continuity and rigor. She is very precise in her explanations. I feel my voice is developing well, as well as my musical expression. My voice is really coming alive now. Thank you so much Elaine. You are a great discovery for me as a teacher!

Music for People was founded in 1988 by two visionary classical musicians, David Darling and Bonnie Insull. Music for People (MfP) is a nonprofit organization that promotes self-expression through music improvisation and the creative arts. MfP was founded on the belief that music is a natural creative expression available to everyone. All styles of music are celebrated, and players at all levels of experience are welcomed. We formed a network in 1986, became a nonprofit organization in 1988 and created a training program in 1991. MfP has over 100 certified graduates of our Musicianship and Leadership Program in the United States, Canada and Europe where they present programs for schools, community groups and businesses.
