About Zelda S.

Zelda has been teaching private lessons for over 12 years and is currently available to teach weekly voice, performance and music lessons online and at her home studio in Nashville, TN, USA.

She provides a dynamic, student-structured training curriculum for voice, singing, confident speaking, accent reduction, conversational and professional English, ear training, performing, ukulele, bass and songwriting. She shares her passion for creativity and lifelong learning.

Her lessons are refreshingly different - centering on the individual student and their unique needs and has helped many students improve their abilities for professional communications, performance, auditions, media and workplace interviews, presentations and events, competitions, working in a team, joining and playing in a band, creating a dynamic set list, recording audio and video and a lot more.

HOW ZELDA'S LESSONS ARE STRUCTURED
Zelda's coaching is student-centered. Lesson ONE is where you discuss your goals and then your voice is measured for both the coach and student to clearly see the baseline of where you are now so that the progress you are making each week is clearly seen and heard.

Then in the following lessons the foundational voice tools are introduced, explained and demonstrated, which you then practice yourself and then show what you've learned by demonstrating your understanding and ability to use the new tool.

You then apply all the tools you are learning one by one to the material and projects so that you can master each tool and technique in real-life application. You are given homework to help you progress even faster and your success is monitored so you can see how far you've come.

Students love this super-organized and systematic approach to learning to master using their voice because they can easily see their breakthroughs, successes and progress each lesson.

Our 9 year old daughter took her very first ukulele lesson with Zelda and she was really amazing! She was very patient and had a fun, upbeat, friendly personality. We are definitely adding more lessons than originally intended and we'd love Zelda to give her singing lessons as well. We are really excited! Thank you, Zelda!

I signed up for voice lessons with Zelda because, as an experienced singer, I was in a rut and needed a refresh. The technical aspects of lessons, like the warm-ups and the voice measurement have been fun and helpful and the coaching for goals I can set and homework I can do are exactly what I need!

Zelda is a fantastic singing teacher. I felt a good vibe when I read her bio. I started out doing a half hour lessons and changed it to hour long lessons on the first lesson. She has helped me advance in my skills. She makes it relaxing, right off the bat, when you walk in and she offer's you tea. She is very patient and helpful. I've taken five lessons and signed up for five more.

I had always wanted to see if I had any vocal talent whatsoever. I met with Zelda and she was patient and took me through the steps to check my range and abilities. I was very nervous as I had never sang in front of anyone before and she made me feel confident and comfortable as I stepped out of my comfort zone for the first time.
I will definitely go back to continue my work with her in the future when the timing is right! Thank you so much Zelda!!!

I loved getting lessons from Zelda! Her bright bubbly personality is so welcoming. She greeted me each lesson with a cup of herbal tea to sooth the vocal cords and we then worked on a series of great vocal techniques that have helped me maximise my singing potential.
This has subsequently led to me being a professional singer and touring extensively both nationally and internationally in a number of different singing styles and genres (including Jazz/Classical/Pop/Rock/Folk/Country).
Her safe methods build vocal control and stamina; as well as develop world class expressive and stylistic techniques. She manages all of this while also making lessons fun!

Zelda is an AMAZING teacher with so much knowledge about the human voice and proper singing technique. As a professional singer, I use her vocal warm-up EVERY DAY. I love it so much that I even share it with friends and on tour with fellow singers. Zelda also taught me skills to continue the longevity of my voice and help me massage my vocal chords after a long vocal workout. She is by far the best vocal instructor I've had, incredibly engaging and so very talented. I highly recommended her vocal training for any level singer.

Zelda is the most amazing voice coach. Thoughtful, encouraging and incredibly knowledgeable, her rich experience in the industry and her empathy as an artist, songwriter and teacher are invaluable for anyone wanting to take their performances to the next level. Supported by an invaluable series of voice exercises designed to protect and strengthen the vocal chords, together with an innovative system of song interpretation, Zelda's unique approach to unveiling the natural voice and revealing the artist within gives her students a special kind of confidence.

Not only is Zelda a pleasure to be around, she is also a fantastic vocal coach. For me she was able to really pin down the areas of my voice that I struggled with and assess my range and pitch in a variety of ways so I could track my success. Having taken vocal lessons before from other teachers, I could see a definite difference with Zelda. Other coaches will waste your money and time with just hanging out or talking, but Zelda provides real value and results from day one. I 100% recommend her.

Zelda's knowledge about the human voice is astounding.... she makes the lessons challenging but also matches her students pace and understands where they're at.

Everyone sings differently and Zelda understands this and adapts her program to make sure her students receive the most benefits. Highly recommended!
