Life Coaching with Zak S.

Zak helped my 12 year old son prepare for an upcoming musical. Zak was easy to work with and very relatable to my son. Zak helped my son with his confidence and worked on mastery of the songs. I heard all about each lesson afterwards as he would tell me the things Zak taught him during the lesson. We definitely recommend Zak and will be scheduling more lessons soon.

I have been working with Zak for over a year, and it has been an extremely positive and life-changing experience. His guidance and advice on caring for my emotions have significantly impacted my life by making it easier and much happier. I have learned to validate my emotions and not see them as burdens anymore. This is an essential skill for anyone to have, as emotions are a natural part of being human, and understanding and expressing them is very empowering. I have been able to apply what I’ve learned in everyday life and in situations where my emotions are very present by using the tools and strategies I have practiced with Zak. Based on my experience, I highly recommend life coaching with Zak to anyone looking for help taking care of their emotions. He has a natural talent for helping people understand and validate their emotions. I have nothing but gratitude and love for him as he created a safe and comfortable environment where I can express myself freely and dig deeper into understanding my emotions and treating them with the love they deserve.

I’ve been studying with Zak for a little over a year now and have made tremendous progress (if I do say so myself) thanks to his excellent and creative teaching. I started out as extreme beginner but was able to take off quickly with his guidance, and we’ve worked on many different styles— jazz, classical, standards, and more. Zak makes sure to check in on my goals often, and we don’t embark on a piece without discussing it first and thinking on whether it makes sense and is something I want to work on. One of my goals is to be able to improvise— I was incredibly far away from that when I walked in the door, and thanks to Zak I’m getting so much closer now! He does a great job at weaving in theory tips and many other things I didn’t even know I didn’t know. I’ve been through two informal recitals now while studying with Zak— and while performances are always a heart-racing (but totally optional!) adventure, they were great fun and I took a lot of pride in being able to chart my progress and effort, not to mention the delight of sharing music with family and friends. Above all, it’s really fun learning with Zak and sharing in his sincere enthusiasm. I never feel any pressure at all to reach a given milestone, only terrific support. I’ve studied music with a lot of teachers across a couple of decades, and none other comes close for the quality of time we work together. Can’t wait to see what we’ll get up to this year!
