Flute with yian S.

I am a professionally trained flutist. I received my bachelor’s degree from the Boston Conservatory and my master’s degree from Arizona State university. I love to work with students with different ages and personalities. I love to see them learn new skills and improve with them together. My belief of music performing is “Confidence, Communication, and Clarity”. As a chamber player, I have worked with many other instruments. My woodwind quartet was selected to played in the Villa-Lobos Festival in 2019. As an improvisor, I am devoted to propagating the expression power of music. I improvise with various timbres and extended techniques. I performed in the improvisation concert at the Boston Conservatory in 2018. As an ensemble player, I have been a member of the ASU Symphony Orchestra, Contemporary Music Ensemble, Chamber Winds, and Wind Ensemble. I was a regular member of the Boston Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble.
