Carl Schurz High - Irving Park, IL. with: Timothy Anderson, Frank DeCarlo, Hannah Mathey, George George, and Patrick Volker. Student Teacher: I taught two beginning bands, a beginning orchestra, the intermediate band and the advanced band. I conducted my beginning orchestra for their first concert; I conducted Shockwave, by Larry Clark, with the beginning band, In a French Garden, by Mayor Athens, with the intermediate band, and Zacatecas March, by Genaro Codina, with the Advanced Band. I also stayed after school to give lessons to any students who needed help and gave lessons during students lunch periods. Hamlet English Immersion Camp; Bilbao, Spain. With Kathy and George Owen. The camp had sixteen students who stayed for two weeks in two houses, one for boys and one for girls. While working at the camp I stayed in the boys house and watched over their activities and English use, taught English and music to students two hours a day, and took the students on hikes, bike rides, and horse rides. Chopin Elementary in Humboldt Park, IL 60622. with: Artur Weible, for seven weeks Student Teacher: I taught all five music class throughout the school day and after school Mr. Weible and I worked with the after school string program. While teaching, the students I created study guides involving everything we worked on in class then, with team based music theory games I created to informally assess their music knowledge, we went over everything in class. During the after school orchestra program I monitored and helped any and all students who had any playing problems.
