Wolfgang was born in Vienna, Austria and raised in the United States. He began his violin studies at age 7. Wolfgang studied with Zona Miller- Pueblo Symphony Orchestra from 1969-1977 and Jessi Ceci- concertmaster of the Denver Symphony Orchestra from 1977-1979.
Majoring in violin performance, he graduated in 1985 from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria. He studied with renowned violinists Prof. Maeve Auer and Prof. Michael Frischenschlager and took master classes from Andrej Grabiec- concertmaster, Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Manfred Geyrhalter- concertmaster, Vienna Philharmonic among others. In Vienna, he performed in orchestras including the Raimund Theater Orchestra, Vienna Bach Soloists and in various Vienna Studio Orchestras. He was concertmaster with Pro Musica International Orchestra, Pro Arte Orchestra and Vienna Serenade Orchestra. He toured with the Vienna Volksoper Orchestra, Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra, Mozart Festival Chamber Orchestra USA, (concertmaster) and in Porgy & Bess with the N.Y. Harlem Opera Company. The tours took him throughout Asia, Europe and America.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 1989, Wolfgang has performed in orchestras, chamber music concerts, duo recitals with Russian pianist Vladimir Khomyakov and numerous recording sessions. Three years ago he could be seen in a Southwest Airlines national commercial. Wolfgang taught violin and piano at the Burbank Music Academy from 2008 – 2019. Currently he is teaching at Track Entertainment Studios in Sherman Oaks, CA. and internationally online.

My son has been a student of Wolfgang’s for almost three years now, and in our opinion he is just the best! We’re so grateful to have found him. Not only is he an expert musician, he’s also an expert teacher. It’s not easy to find that combination!
Wolfgang is patient, kind, and funny. He’s always upbeat, and always always gentle and encouraging. At the same time, he has a knack for challenging his students and making them want to work hard for him. He has a deep knowledge of music, and once you progress beyond the beginner level he can really help you with theory, technique, and an endless supply of useful tips about how to get the most out of practice, how to tackle a challenging piece, and how to approach a performance. He has an enthusiasm for his subject that is infectious. Our son has really made amazing progress under Wolfgang’s guidance.
We’ve always found Wolfgang to be super flexible and easygoing on the admin side. We never felt the kind of sales pressure from him that you sometimes get with music schools and teachers. He accommodates our scheduling needs with no pressure and no guilt, and always communicates promptly whenever there might be something on his end that would affect a lesson. In short he’s a real pro, the total package, and you won’t regret hiring him as a teacher.

I'm extremely happy to have found Wolfgang Track as a violin teacher. Unlike previous teachers I have had, he is extremely patient and easy-going. He delivers instruction and advice very well, making lessons comfortable and engaging.
I am an adult student with a full-time job. Needless to say, I need a teacher that can maintain a flexible schedule and understand my time limits. Wolfgang does both, but never makes me feel like I am "falling behind" or "losing momentum". He is very good at making sure that I feel like I am continuously progressing, which continues to keep me focused.
I can't recommend his services enough. Any student would do well with Wolfgang as an instructor.
