    Dr. Wilson Wong has recently completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Georgia, studying with trombonists from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Brian Hecht, Nate Zgonc, and Joshua Bynum. Dr. Wong also holds degrees from the University of Illinois and Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Professor Elliot Chasanov and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra Bass Trombonist Steve Norrell. As a professional orchestral musician, Dr. Wong has performed with the Spokane Symphony Orchestra, the National Repertory Orchestra, the Brevard Music Center Orchestra, the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia da Camera, and the Masterworks Festival Orchestra. Dr. Wong is also a nationally acclaimed chamber musician and soloist. He was awarded runner-up for the American Trombone Workshop National Trombone Quartet Competition in 2013 and 2014. Most recently, he performed in the Masterworks Honors Chamber Recital in the summer of 2016. As a soloist, Dr. Wong was a finalist for the 2013 American Trombone Workshop National Solo Competition. As an educator, Dr. Wong has taught privately at the college level as a teaching assistant at the University of Georgia. Dr. Wong has also been a counselor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and has tutored students at Blue Lake, University of Illinois, Manhattan School of Music, and University of Georgia.
