I hold a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ and Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, OH.
*** Lesson Details ***
I approach teaching voice through establishing a comfortable and safe environment for both myself and my students. I feel that having a good rapport with the student is of the utmost importance, allowing the free flow of ideas and questions or concerns between the student and teacher. I am relaxed in teaching, but expect students to do their best. I do not expect students to be perfect in every way. If you make a mistake, then Great! Mistakes help us learn how to be better. From there, the establishment of proper posture, respiration, phonation, registration, articulation and coordination may occur.
