Hello! My name is Valerie and I would love to talk with you about creating a lesson plan just right for you! I graduated from University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music in Vocal Jazz Performance. My teachers were incredible, some Grammy winners and nominees, and I would love to pass on their wisdom as well as impart my own knowledge and experience of 14+ years of singing professionally, songwriting, touring, recording etc. My songs have been featured in independent film and professional websites. I performed all over the U.S. west coast and NYC and have performed in Europe as well (super love that, can't wait to go back.) My next goal is to perform in Japan. I want to make each lesson interesting & fun but challenging! I expect each student to come prepared to lessons. I expect each student to try their best and to be respectful. Do you have what it takes to be the next student of Valerie? :) Feel free to message me with any questions and I will respond asap!+ Read More
At my old school, USC, they have a non-profit organization called Thornton Outreach that hires us students to teach music classes to neighboring elementary and junior high schools. I taught a general music class and a guitar class to 30 elementary aged school kids! That was crazy but fun.+ Read More

After school group instruction to elementary aged kids. We taught beginning piano with popular songs on the radio and classic hits from the past.
I taught piano and art to home-schooled students, in their homes. It was super fun!
