Being a professional touring and studio musician for the last 15+ years, I will teach you everything you need to know to get playing the songs you want, right away. I am originally self-taught on the piano, went to Berklee College of Music and learned music theory later in life especially when I first started to teach. Because of this, I have a unique perspective on how your intuition/ear for music cooperates with the theory side, and I can provide you lots of short-cuts to understanding advanced theory within the context of playing songs you love.

Hello! I’m Valentina, a professional in the music industry with over 15 years of experience. My original songs have been featured in popular TV shows like Riverdale, Lucifer, Pretty Little Liars, and The Vampire Diaries. I even had the opportunity to perform one of my songs in Simlish for The Sims 4! Most recently, the musical I co-wrote premiered and earned five stars from The Guardian and Broadway World. Alongside, I’ve been a dedicated music teacher with a passion teaching the tricks of the trade, and some past clients include members from the band Liily, The Regrettes and Noah Cyrus. Valen is such a phenomenal teacher, I seriously could not be happier. She completely broke down all of the theory so I could pick it up super quickly on the piano, and it made learning the songs I brought in easier than I thought possible. It only took like a dozen lessons before I felt like I could pretty much pick up anything I wanted to learn on my own, with a little practice. Now I'm stoked to have already signed up to start music production with her so I can continue working with Valen. Hands down the best teacher out here.

Amazing teacher! Valen helped me prepare for a big musical theater audition. It had been a while since I'd been in a musical and I was nervous but Valen made me feel comfortable right away, she is patient and funny and even helped me choose the perfect song to audition with. I have been to a lot of voice teachers over the years and Valen is by far my favorite - she is active in the music industry and you can tell she really knows her stuff. I felt super confident for my audition (and finally understood how to use my diaphragm properly because of how Valen explained it!) and I got cast in the show!!!! Could not have done it without Valen and will be going back to her for every audition in the future!
