I am an award-winning song writer with professional and personal experience in the local music scene as well as the national and commercial areas. I've studied piano, guitar, music theory, and songwriting. I have even dabbled in a professional music career, writing and performing across New York City, the SF Bay Area, and Nashville, TN. While still quite young myself, I began writing at a very young age. I have studied both instrument and songwriting for many years and have won awards in both local and international songwriting competitions. I love working with teens and young adults but have also worked with much more experienced musicians. I have written with up and coming local artists as well as Nashville musical veterans. I can teach you skills and guide your songs to be stronger with: - structure and flow - melodies that fit the mood of the song - "catchiness" - rhymes - creative word choice - writing for radio/tv/film - writing for performance - harmonies and instrument arrangement Generally, lessons involve a song that has already been written (or started) however I can also give basic songwriting lessons to those that have never written music before. While my personal style ranges from folk, to pop, to Americana, I have taught clients from a variety of musical backgrounds and I find that the pre-produced song has much more flexible boundaries. Song Reviews: “This song grabbed me right from the start. The music and lyrics epitomize the laid-back, adventurous nature-loving attitude! And the original and well-centered title/hook perfectly personifies this theme! There’s no doubt that Triana has songwriting talent." - International Songwriting Contest Judges "Lyrical metaphor is outstanding! We love the relatable premise and poetic simile... this reflects Triana's talent and brilliance as a songwriter. This is what songwriting is all about!" - International Songwriting Contest Judges

When I worked with Triana, she was very helpful in helping me revise and reconstruct one of my original songs. She was a very constructive co-writer and instructor, as she helped make sure that each section of my song had a purpose and was impactful. Overall, Triana has a lot to offer to up and coming songwriters who may want an experienced musician or writer’s valuable input. https://lorenaandreamusic.com

Triana was great with my two daughters that desperately wanted to learn how to write their own songs. She was patient and listened to them. They've both gained a lot more confidence and love bringing their songs to her each week!

When I first took lessons with Triana, I thought I was a pretty good song writer. Looking back I can see how much I have improved. I always felt like my songs could be better, but I didn't know how I could get them to the place I wanted. Triana has an uncanny ability to hear the best version of your song and guide you towards it. I never felt like she was writing for me, but helping me hear the places in my own song that needed work. I feel like my songs are so much stronger now and, more importantly, I can see the places in my own song that need work and can make them better on my own!
