    I have been teaching music for over a decade both privately and publicly. My degrees include a Bachelor's in Education and a Master's in Jazz Studies. I play drums, bass, guitar, piano, voice and am proficient in music production, theory, and composition. Additionally, I have professional experience in the music industry performing, touring, and recording. Recently, I finished touring with Taylor Swift on her 1989 World Tour.

    New Orleans Jazz Institute's Saturday Music School

    Saturday Music School is a free, once a week, music program that was created by Irvin Mayfield and New Orleans Jazz Institute in affiliation with The University of New Orleans. Students range from ages 5 to 17. I worked for Saturday Music School as a Graduate Assistant at The University of New Orleans. I designed lesson plans for music theory classes, taught one on one and group drum lessons, directed the Beginning Band Ensemble, organized weekly activities, and assisted in administrative duties such as hiring of teachers.

    ReNew Cultural Arts Academy

    ReNew Cultural Arts Academy is a Public Elementary and Middle School chosen by the President's Committee as a Turnaround Arts School, I taught Music Production for an hour everyday to a class of 15 students (3-5 grade) as part of the extended day arts program. Students formed groups to write their own songs, perform and record them, and eventually produce CD's with all of their own music.
