Toya Nash helped me tremendously. The first time i saw her I immediately knew that this is the acting coach that i have been waiting for. She teaches you the necessary fundamentals to become a successful actor or actress and provides you with so much prep that it will be impossible to not do well once you start auditioning. She has made a change in my acting career that allows me to take it to the next level.

Toya is an amazing acting coach!! She makes you feel very comfortable and teaches you to be confident, trust your instinct and not overthink. She teaches you different ways to approach a scene or monologue and helps you find what tools work for you. I’m able to laugh at myself and not feel as nervous anymore thanks to her!

Exceptional! Toya is a working artist herself, so she is beyond knowledgeable about acting and voice. A lot of my daughter’s lessons ran longer than the time I paid, which is a rare, and very generous thing. Toya makes sure you get what you pay for and more. She’s so passionate about helping talent find their way in the arts. She is equally great at helping parents who know nothing about the arts, like me, learn the best way to support our kids in the arts, which is just incredible. She is beyond talented, very professional, and an absolute inspiration to all those she teaches. My daughter started out with no experience, and learned it all from Toya. She is now working as a professional actor thanks to Toya! My family and I will get to see my daughter in a major film in theatres! By far the best acting/vocal instructor on TakeLessons or anywhere else, hands down.

Toya is very friendly, which is wonderful. However, I was surprised by our experience. In our case, our lessons were cut a few minutes short, and half the lessons started late. (I do have proof showing this.) I would be fine with that, if we saw great results, but unfortunately, our daughter did not feel like she was learning anything new with Toya. Toya had her do exercises, which was great, but didn't make comments on how to improve. – Just told us our daughter was doing great. Maybe Toya was busy or distracted during her lessons, and it may be that normally there are better results, but for the cost of the lessons, we did expect more. We took lessons in a "conference room" setting, in a building Toya had us go to. Our other teachers with Take Lessons are wonderful and cost significantly less. Hopefully this is an anomaly, and your experience is different than ours.

My daughter has learned so much from Toya since she started getting lessons from her. She is pretty flexible if you have to reschedule she's willing to work with you and your schedule as well as her own. My daughter has nothing but good to say about Toya and the fun she has with her all while learning too. She really enjoys her acting lessons and loves Toya.
