Tony Owen is a guitarist who loves to share the gift of music with people of all ages and skill levels. Born into a family of bay area musicians and educators, he began playing when he was 7 years old and performing professionally by the time he was 13. Tony has performed many styles including: Jazz, Rock, Pop, Funk, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and Folk music. His performance experience has taken him all around the bay area including appearances at notable venues such as the SF Jazz Center and the Moma (SF Museum Of Modern Art). In 2014 Tony became a graduate of the California Jazz Conservatories B.A. program and began to pursue more seriously a career in music education. As a teacher Antonio holds the belief that all people have a unique appreciation and wonder for music and with the right guidance and gentle encouragement, a beautiful relationship between a student and his or her musical craft can be created.
