I have been playing trumpet for over 10 years. I've been gigging around the New Haven area for about two years now, and have played numerous styles. From traditional jazz, to bebop, to New Orleans Second Line, to Funk. Being immersed in these styles has made me very accustomed to playing in those styles, which I will able to share with you!
I'm currently enrolled at Southern Connecticut State University, pursuing a bachelors in Music with plans on getting my masters in music education.
I'm somewhat of a "theory-nerd", meaning I have a deep appreciation for music theory, and it's application. From reading sheet music, to identifying scales to use over chords, I will assist you in whatever it is you want to be improved.
A funk/soul/jam-based band out of Shelton, we play around the New Haven area.
I'm the head of my band "Jazz Cabbage". We play tradition jazz along with funk. Normally, we gig around New Haven, but we have branched out to other towns when the opportunity arises.
Teacher not only provided help and techniques for my range and playing but also taught me about the theory and scales behind soloing. I am now the lead trumped in my high school band and jazz band thanks to weekly lessons
Provided a lot of insight into what I was doing wrong on the instrument, and gave me good exercises to do weekly. Definitely recommend.
