Tia graduated from Dordt College in 2014 with a BA in Music Performance and Pedagogy. An avid vocalist and single-reed woodwind player, she has been studying music for over 15 years with a variety of teachers, and has experience in the Jazz, Musical Theatre, Praise, and Classical styles. Tia has done well at state-level competitions and honor bands/choirs for both single-reeds and voice from middle school through college, whether for NATS or WMEA. Each lesson is tailored to the individual student's goals and needs, and each lesson combines both physical technique and imaginative style/performance to create a balanced musician with a deep understanding and love for the art form.
So wonderful and caring. Tia set me at ease and let me know it was all going to be just fine and then she proceeded to teach me and make the experience fun and interesting. Wonderful experience!
Tia is friendly, and extremely helpful as well as knowledgeable. We love that she can come to our house.
The people we've talked with to set this up were also helpful and courteous.
