    About Thanos P.

    Thanos is a Berklee Performance Graduate, a multiple music scholarship recipient and a multi-instrumentalist. He has performed in some of the most iconic venues such as the Irving Plaza, the Theatre of Living Arts and the Gramercy Theatre with legendary Rock bands like the Dead Kennedys as well with various artists in the styles of Jazz, Rock, Fusion, Pop and World such as Alexander Anderson, Alkis Nicolaides, Ben Cesare, Craig Small (Waltham), Christina Maragkozi, Deborah Pierre, Jonathan O'Neal, Pantelis Stoikos, Marty Ballou Trio, Marco Longo, Ron Mahdi, Sindos Concert Band, The Burning Streets, The C-Corps Army Band, The Penny Muse Band, The Pulse of Boston, The Berklee Music Theatre Orchestra, Wakina Mertz, Vasilis Kostas and XAS to name a few. ​ In addition to his performing career he has composed music for multi-Emmy award cinematographer Rick Macomber and worked in projects with renowned record producer Matthew Ellard(Elliot Smith, The Clash) and audio engineer James Donahue(The Boston Symphony Orchestra). His music has received great critical acclaim by renowned people in the music industry like Sean Slade, producer for Radiohead and Lou Reed. In addition he has appeared on popular journals in the USA such as the Village Voice and at the popular TV show the X-Factor. ​ Thanos currently works as a show director and performance teacher at School of Rock the top music education franchise in the world. He has also taught music theory and ear training at Berklee College of Music as a teaching assistant, and was selected to instruct the online Berklee course "Developing Your Musicianship''. He has instructed more than a hundred students of all grade levels at some of the most established music schools in the Boston area, such as the Boston School of Music Arts and the Music Maker School. Some of his students have performed at large music festivals such as the Summerfest in Milwaukee and reached the finals of world music contests such as the "Hit Like A Girl" drum contest.
