At age nine I began piano and clarinet lessons and continued my music studies throughout high school and into college. I played in numerous solo and ensemble festivals, honor bands, piano recitals, adjudicated piano and soloist competitions, scholarship competitions and numerous concerts. I learned at a very young age that enthusiasm and creativity expressed by my teachers played an integral role in my motivation to succeed. My experience playing in band, orchestra, ensembles and as a soloist, gives me an enhanced ability to convey lessons in harmony either played between hands or in duets/ensembles.
Because I also have a strong background in ballet and ballroom dance, I utilize these talents to reinforce time signature and rhythm lessons. It's amazing to see how my students transfer the rhythm from their feet to their fingertips accurately. This method also helps them visualize and interpret the music in a more satisfying manner.
Music is the centrifugal force in my life which I joyfully extend to my family and students. I am the proud mother of four children who grew up in a musical home; three of them are proficient, award-winning pianists. My students are also award-winning competitors in the Lisa Fiorenza Junior Piano Competition, Las Vegas, NV.
I have enjoyed teaching piano students ranging in age from 3 to 80 years old. Let's Make A Joyful Noise Together!

The Best!

I believe Terri is the best! She's warm, caring, and works wonder with all students. She communicates and bonds well with her students and their parents/guardians. She never pressures her students; she lets them work at their own pace. She's very supportive and encouraging to all her students. She's awesome!

The Kindest Piano Teacher You Can Get

Ms. Miller is a one of a kind piano teacher. The stereotypical piano teacher would be portrayed as an enraged perfectionist who hits your knuckles with a ruler when ever you play a single wrong note. Ms. Miller couldn't be any more different. Her kindness is a key factor to her teaching style. A student doesn't want to be any less than perfect. She shows so much enthusiasm when you play even the easiest song correctly. As well as this, her teaching style is phenomenal. Each new subject is taught in such detail so that we can fully comprehend what we are playing. All I can say is that I hit the jackpot with my piano teacher and that I hope that more piano-lovers will be able to experience her greatness.

Ms. Terri is a phenomenal piano instructor. As a student who originally learned to play by ear, she has integrated that into my lessons. She is very understanding when it comes to school and work. One of the best piano instructors I have ever had.

Who would have thought

I am a retired person who had never touched a musical instrument in my lifetime. In just 5 weeks, Ms Miller has me reading the music and learning to play. She is a very positive and uplifting person. She is instilling the confidence for me to continue the learning process. I truly picked a winner when I chose her to be my instructor.

Piano lessons from the best.

Terri is an excellent instructor. My daughter enjoys learning from a professional who is kind and patient. Terri takes the time to know her students and gives constant complements and encouragement. She also gives advice to my daughter that has improved her piano playing tremendously. We searched for 2 months before finding Terri. Now we drive an hour and a half to lessons and that is perfectly fine with us. We know we are getting the best piano lessons in the area.

Positive Reinforcement

Terri is an amazingly positive person - she never has a bad thing to say, even when I massacre the music. She always highlights the good things and gives hints and tips on how to improve the things that need work. I am so glad to have found her as my teacher!

Wonderful teacher

Miss Terri is a wonderful piano teacher. She taught our daughter for about a year and a half. She is kind, patient and very talented. Her home is welcoming and we can sit right there while our daughter had her lesson. I would recommend her for any first timer or anyone with young children. The children get the opportunity to perform in front of an audience about twice a year, once in the spring and once in the winter. Thank you to Miss Terri for teaching our daughter piano! We have really enjoyed our time with you.
