Hello! My name is Taylor.
I am currently getting my degree in Viola Performance at Mesa Community College. I have been playing the viola for five years and the violin for the past nine. I have performed with the Phoenix Youth Symphony, the Central Region Regional Orchestra (2015) and am currently performing with the Mesa Community College Orchestra, Scottsdale Philharmonic , and La Forza Chamber Orchestra. I have been teaching students for over two years.
During my last two years of high school, I became interested in assisting the younger students and my orchestra teacher during sectionals. These classes became my regular students as I gave a few of them periodical lessons for months at a time.
The American Viola Society is a nonprofit organization of viola enthusiasts, including students, performers, teachers, scholars, composers, makers, and friends, who seek to encourage excellence in performance, pedagogy, research, composition, and lutherie. United in our commitment to promote the viola and its related activities, the AVS fosters communication and friendship among violists of all skill levels, ages, nationalities, and backgrounds.+ Read More
Taylor was terrific! She related well with Evelyn and assessed her skills quickly. Evelyn is a victim of bullying. Music has been her stress reliever. Evelyn felt at ease with Taylor's methods of teaching. Thank you so very much.
Taylor was very patient with my 6 year old daughter. She is looking forward to her next lesson.
Excellent teacher. She helped my son learn violin well.
