I hold a Bachelor's degree (BFA) in musical theatre and a Master's degree (MBA) in business administration/management, which comes in handy when teaching those students who want to pursue performance as a career! I have worked as a professional actor, singer, and teaching artist for the past 10 years, currently serving as the Head of the Greenfield Hebrew Academy Theatre department and the program manager for Playmaking for Kids, an afterschool theatre prgram for elementary age students. As a teacher and mentor, I have worked with students as young as 5 (voice and acting) and as old as 22 years. I specialize in working with children and beginners, teaching both acting/audition technique, music (reading music; beginner's theory) vocal performance and technique. I am a songwriter and a have been a member of ASCAP (THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF COMPOSERS, AUTHORS AND PUBLISHERS) since 2003. As a singer/songwriter, I have opened for musical acts Joe, Jagged Edge, and Bobby Valentino. I have mentored songwriters in both melody composition as well as lyricism.
