Learn singing from a professional opera singer with 35 years experience.

I have taught all genres of music professionally for 20+ years. Many of my students have sung lead roles with production theater companies. I believe 80% of great singing depends on the application of proper breath support. Other important factors are application of pure vowels and unity of sound throughout your vocal line. My voice teachers were: Madame Marinka Gurevich, Rita Shane, Janet Parlova, Armen Boyagian and presently .

I am a professional opera singer and pianist. I graduated from West GA University with a bachelor of music, continuing on to study voice at the San Francisco conservatory of music. I also received an advanced certificate in music education from Brooklyn College. Its very important to establish a clear understanding of the proper breath support. To a very large degree great singing is dependant upon the application of the right breath support. So a lot of emphasis will be placed on making sure that the student has a clear understanding on that issue. Other important tools will be to direct the student to understand the importance of mask singing. Learning to place the voice in the mask and using pure vowels connecting the sound to the proper breath support, you will acquire a beautiful pure sounding voice that would be free of tension with lots of harmonic partials that would enable you to project your sound with great ease. The roles that I have performed include: The New York Premier of Djamileh by Bizet, Cherubino from the Marraige of Figaro, Czipra from The Gypsy Baron, Zuzuki from Madame Butterfly, Orlovsky from Die Fledermaus and the roles of Siebel and Martha from Faust. In addition I appeared in solo concerts in New York and California. As a pianist I was chosen as a finalist of a state wide piano competition While attending the university. Looking forward to helping you with your voice.

I’m a lover of music but I have no control over my voice, I’ve never done voice or music lessons before so I decided to give Ms Taraneh S a try, She was very friendly, welcoming and tolerant. She encourages me to keep trying and helped me a lot on my voice, i never recorded myself before but today I tried and did a whole song by myself. Im going to continue taking classes with her to improve on my singing. I choose her alone because she makes me feel comfortable and less ashamed/ afraid to do it. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for the best. Thank you so much Teacher T

Look no further. She is the BEST of the BEST. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to breath control, projection and voice stability. Her years of expertise shines through. Don’t waste your money with someone else. I’ve had lessons with many teachers before, but Taraneh is a step above all others..
