Ask any musician, and they will tell you that making the choice to invest in a private music instructor is a critical step in growth and development--no matter the individual's age or experience level. When you're devoting time and energy into bettering yourself, you want to know that you're learning from a friendly, accessible, and most of all qualified, teacher. Dr. Tammy Y. is all of these things and much more.

Dr. Tammy Y. never failed to challenge me in the pieces she assigned, never failed to help me prepare to my very best ability for auditions or recitals, and never failed to give her honest and helpful critique and advice to help me advance as a flutist.

To anyone looking for a private flute instructor, I would recommend highly, wholeheartedly, and very enthusiastically to learn from this amazing teacher and performer. So whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced, young or old, Dr. Tammy Y. provides the very best resources and sets the highest expectations for her students.

Tammy is a fantastic teacher! She is able to to help students of all levels achieve their goals. Her students learn the fundamentals as well as musical nuance. I was impressed with her ability to not only notice my weaknesses, but also to come up with several ways to fix them. If you are looking for a flute teacher look no further!

Tammy is without a doubt one of the most amazing musicians that I have met in my many years as a musician/educator. Her passion for music is very apparent when you hear her perform or speak of music. As an instructor, Tammy does a wonderful job relating to the student and providing them with the tools to take the next step. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in both performing and teaching. It is a tremendous honor to call her my colleague. I give her my absolute highest recommendation!
