Welcome to my analytics course on Takelessons Flexible Platform. My name is Tai and I’ll be your mentor/coach. My role is to guide you through the course and help you hone the skills you need to achieve your goals.
We can start off the first session getting to know a little more about your background and mine and diving into a background on data science and any questions you have about the curriculum.
At a high level, I am passionate about data and love using tools like Python and R to understand the world around me better. I worked as a Data Scientist at Discover, and I studied business analytics at Arizona State University.
I’m excited to learn more about your learning style and will be available to recommend other videos/books to supplement our sessions.

I'm in the process in making a career change into Data Analytics and currently attending a bootcamp in which Ty is my mentor. I have had great interactions with Ty every single time we touch base or have questions, and when I don't have questions for our bi-weekly calls. He will send over some practice quiz's to ensure I have a great understanding of the topics being covered in the curriculum. Although this may sound tedious to do extra work and doesn't count towards my program. I really appreciate them because it allows me to gauge my level of understanding to make sure I'm an expert on the topic. Preparing me to apply what I've learned during the program to the real world. I would highly recommend Ty as a mentor to anyone!
