AMTA's purpose is the progressive development of the therapeutic use of music in rehabilitation, special education, and community settings. Predecessors, unified in 1998, included the National Association for Music Therapy founded in 1950 and the American Association for Music Therapy founded in 1971. AMTA is committed to the advancement of education, training, professional standards, credentials, and research in support of the music therapy profession.

Experienced teacher of 5 years who teaches a variety of styles. I believe that lessons should be fun and individualized to the student.  I place an emphasis on technique in order to prioritize the health and longevity of your voice. Specialties include Broadway, classical, standards, and pop. Lessons are available to students 12 and up. I can’t wait to make music with you!

I have a degree in Vocal Performance from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. I am currently in the process of completing a degree in Music Therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. I’ve performed in many musicals and operas, such as “Pirates of Penzance,” “Little Women,” “The Tender Land,” and more. I’ve been playing piano for 20 years and believe that it is an essential instrument for any aspiring musician. 

When I’m not making music or working at my music therapy internship, I’m probably watching hockey, crocheting, or playing with my cat. I can’t wait to make music with you!
