I was educated in the former Soviet Union, where I received my classical piano education, and hold the equivalency of a Bachelor's Degree in Music Theory, as well as a Master's Degree in Piano Teaching, and Choral Conducting. I have taught private piano lessons for 29 years -- 18 years in the U.S. I enjoy working with students of all ages, but prefer school age children.

My son admires his teacher Mrs. Svetlana. She is passionate about teaching and loves music.
Svetlana is a wonderful teacher. Her passion for piano shows through her teaching. She gives a full well rounded experience, not just the mechanics of playing. I am learning and enjoying my lessons more than I ever had with other instructors.
My daughter is seven and she really looks forward to piano lessons with Svetlana. She knows how to get down on the child's level and help them understand. You can tell that Svetlana really enjoys teaching!
My son loves Lana! She's a great piano teacher, she loves kids. :)
Great teacher, for small kids she find to way to teach in a fun way , my kids like it.
Svetlana is a great piano teacher she understands how important for younger age kids to have fun while learning ☺
Wonderful first lesson. My little one enjoyed Lana's teaching skills. My little one learned quite a bit in her first session. Fabulous!
I've taken private lessons with Svetlana for several years and I love her teaching style as well as the results. At first I only wanted to learn because my parents pushed me, but now I continue to play piano and I love even Classical Music, something I would not have expected to get out of lessons.+ Read More
