I started taking piano lessons when I was 4 and then learned the clarinet and played in the band in middle school. In high school I started playing the viola in the orchestra while still playing in the band. I had the best of all music worlds! In college I played in many school and community orchestras in places like Carnegie Recital Hall and even with the NY Philharmonic Orchestra! Orchestral and Chamber Music are my forte. I have been a string orchestra conductor for 10 years and love to put on a show to be remembered. My students have played at various day cares, nursing homes and shopping malls. We were even on the local Channel 12 News! *** Lesson Details *** A good foundation and a thorough knowledge of the basics will help you get the most out of your instrument. We work on this becoming 2nd nature and natural. Then we analyze whats going on in the music, a bit of music theory is covered. Then we concentrate on what we hear and what our audience will hear versus what we want them to hear and how do we make this always a little better. We go as fast or as slow as your individual learning needs to be. Of course the more you dedicate to preparing on your own with regular practice between lessons, the greater progress you will achieve. *** Travel Equipment *** I give private 1 on 1 lessons in the student's home. Students are expected to have their instrument, music, a pencil, and a notebook for keeping a practice log and for written coaching notes. A music stand is helpful. I bring a smile, lots of patience and a fun time learning! *** Specialties *** classical, popular

Ms Suzette is a wonderful violin teacher. I'm an older student and always wanted to play this instrument. She came to my home and gave me private lesson. I made it up to having my 1st recital. Her prices are fair and she has a positive upbeat personality. Ms Suzette please call me I lost your number.

Our daughter loves Mrs. Suzette R. We love how Mrs. Suzette R. pushes our daughter to improve and gives her the freedom to explore the music within her through the violin. She is patient and full of joy. It's a pleasure to know her and welcome her into our home.

My daughter has been taking in-home piano lessons with Miss Suzette for several months. Miss Suzette is professional, knowledgeable, and very patient. She is energetic and engages and encourages my daughter in such a way that keeps her interested and looking forward to her lessons.
