Flute with Sulina B.

Sulina started playing piano at the age of 7. She picked up her mother’s flute at the age of 12. Sulina has performed in Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Metropolitan Museum in New York City. As an orchestral player, Sulina has been playing with Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, The Orchestra Now, New Britain Symphony Orchestra, Nutmeg Symphony, Montclair Symphony Orchestra, Chelsea Symphony Orchestra, Astoria Choir Orchestra, and Loft Opera. She was recently selected to participate in The Orchestras of Americas Academy. She participated at Napa Valley Orchestra Festival in the summer of 2019. Her brilliant artistry was recognized by Alexander and Buono International Competition, New Jersey Spring Young Artist Competition, Atlanta Young Artist Competition, South Carolina Flute Competition and Wisconsin Flute Competition. She was a finalist for Nancy Crew Eller Artist Competition, New York Flute Club Competition and a finalist of concerto competition in Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. She holds a Master’s degree from Mannes School of Music studying under the tutelage of Judith Mendenhall and Bachelor’s degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with Jonathan Keeble. She recently graduated with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute and Music Theory in minor at Hartt School.
