About Steve G.
Steve Gill is a jazz trumpet player, teacher, and composer currently residing near Washington, DC. He has led and played with a variety of groups in New York, Pennsylvania, and DC and has proudly performed in Germany, at Lincoln Center in New York, at Chris’ Jazz Café in Philadelphia, and at Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman School of Music.
Steve enjoys teaching trumpet lessons to students of all levels and ages. He emphasizes building a strong technical foundation and applying it to the musical interests of his students. He also teaches fundamentals of music theory, jazz theory, and ear training.
