I have a classical background in double bass performance, and am mostly self-taught on guitar. I've actively been performing as a guitarist since 2010. I can teach music theory, chords, songs students want to learn, etc. Really, it depends on what the student hopes to gain from the lessons (this tends to vary from student to student). I believe it's most important that student learns their instrument in a way that's fun and keeps them engaged! I'm patient and easy going, all ages are welcome!

I was introduced to music early age, and attended high school at the North Carolina School of the Arts where I studied double bass performance and music theory. In college, I bought an Fender Telecaster, Roland SP-404, and a loop pedal and haven't looked back since. I have actively performed in Boston, Brooklyn and Portland since 2010. Additionally, I actively record and mix music on Logic Pro 9.

I've given guitar lessons off and on since 2010 and have always enjoyed it. As a teacher, I'm patient and easy-going. I'm most qualified to teach beginning and intermediate students, or more advanced students interested in guitar looping techniques. Music has made my life so much richer, and I'm eager to spread that joy to my students!
