Hello! My name is Stephanie Gust and I am a band director and private flute and music theory lesson instructor. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the prestigious Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. There, I performed with the Frost School of Music Symphonic Winds, Gale Force Winds, and numerous other athletic and concert ensembles. I was also Drum Major for the Frost Band of the Hour Marching Band for three consecutive years. After graduating, I decided to stay in Miami where I taught private lessons and middle school band and choir for 5 years. During my tenure, I was a Semi-Finalist for Miami Dade County Public Schools Teacher of the Year. I started playing flute and learning about music in the 4th grade and my love and passion for both has only grown and matured since then. My experiences throughout my musical career have instilled in me a drive and desire to give my students the same amazing musical opportunities that I have had. It is this passion for excellence that inspires me to tirelessly work at bettering myself as an educator so that I can help my students grow both musically and personally. My main goal as an educator is to push my students to achieve their goals while also having fun and enjoying music. I cannot wait for the chance to help you achieve your musical goals!
