I have a diverse, mixed-up, wonderful background. I have wanted to do something with music and performance since I was 3-years-old. I have been able to foster that goal through work in the professional film and television industry as well as professional theater (and no, the word is not misspelled despite what spell-check would have you believe and I would love to explain why.). However, my greatest love has always been teaching. My education includes training in theater, film, television, music, voice, and communication. I received my BA in Fine Arts and Humanities from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and my MS in Communication Studies at Texas Christian University. My greatest teachers, however, have always been my students! *** Lesson Details *** My lessons are as varied as the students who take them. Just like no two students are alike no two lessons are either. My lessons are designed around the student's goals and desires. I use modern technology as well as classical training techniques to help my students become the best that they can be. I use a variety of different curriculum depending on what best meets the needs of the individual student. Growth is a constant goal as we work together, student and teacher, to take the student from where they are to where they want to be. Lessons are full of "aha" moments as we work to not only understand the how but also the why behind everything that we learn. *** Specialties *** I use the classical approach for singing. I teach quasi-method acting.
