Piano with Spencer P.

I grew up in the DFW area of Texas and began playing the piano early on. Consequent of a growing fascination with music, I pursued degrees in piano performance from Texas State University (BM) and Kent State University (MM). While studying at Kent, I became more and more engrossed in writing music, and subsequently turned my focus onto my own compositions, and the wonderfully diverse world that is new music. I completed one more degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (MM) in composition. I, along with four other Lincoln based composers, helped start LNK New Music Collective, a group of composers who put on concerts for the Lincoln community. I am currently based in Kansas City. My music has been played in a variety of venues from concert halls and museums to coffee shops, bars, and bookstores. I have played and been played in multiple states across the U.S. as well as in Taiwan. I try to change it up with each new project and have written and continue to write in a variety of mediums. I have performed throughout the US, as well as in Italy, and Taiwan. ​ I believe art in any form is an integral part of the human experience, and think that somewhere in the myriad of works, we can all find some benefit from it. ​
