As a performer, I have led bands at local venues and performed solo piano at various types of events. I am comfortable in a variety of styles including jazz, classical, pop, and more. I play and teach piano, guitar and accordion. As a teacher, I have taught private and group lessons of online and in person, both as a freelance artist and through local music schools. My classes have focused on both instrumental technique and music theory aimed at students of all levels. I currently coach a weekly after-school band camp of ~10 middle and high school jazz students.

Local non-profit housing shelter

I worked for 6 months at a local non-profit housing shelter that served migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees from Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. At this job I honed my language skills daily by communicating with clients exclusively in their preferred language of either Spanish or Portuguese (Portuguese is the colonial language spoken in several parts of Africa where many of our clients originated, and is the official language of Brazil).
