About Spencer C.
I quit guitar at 7 years old.
I realized that many people quit for the same reason I did: when their fingers stroked the guitar, they didn't like the sounds they heard.
Like many, I grew tired of the instrument, had no motivation to build the required finger strength, and decided playing guitar was ultimately boring (with all the wisdom of a 7 year old).
Later on in my life, I taught myself to play, and fell madly in love with playing guitar...
The difference was all in my approach.
One part was that I only played what I loved. There's a psychological benefit to that, and I will explain in session.
I learned to play beautifully rapidly (in days), and a year later, I learned to play classically, which was much easier at that point in time for two reasons:
1. I had the finger strength built up
2. I had experience expressing my soul with the guitar thanks to my approach
In all my 15 years in music, I have never met anyone approach guitar like I did. It was a blessing that the creativity came to me, allowing me to go from one who had no patience or interest in the instrument, to being considered prodigious by nearly all of my peers, and performing live for prestigious events, as well as sitting down with a couple record labels; one being the largest in my country.
It's much easier and simpler than you think...
When the teacher is great, they don't teach you much!
Rather, they unleash something within you.

Guy's a legend and he's not even 30 I don't think. You will love learning to play with Spencer!!!!!
I am taking Spencer's advanced course at the moment, and I gotta say... This guy is just prodigious.
He's really personable, so in our first lessons, I learned that he taught himself to play by ear, like many of the greats.
What is really helping me play better, is something he calls the art of transformation; something he learned from listening to rare vinyl records nearly 100 years old.
Not only will you get better at guitar, but if you ask Spencer, you will learn many interesting facts about music and it's evolution.
His approach is unlike anything I have ever heard of, but the thing is, it works! You will learn to play from the heart, which I now see is the most important part of guitar.
