I am a professional harpist based in my hometown of San Diego, CA. I have a Bachelors of Music in Harp Performance from Duquesne University and a Masters of Music in Harp Performance from Carnegie Mellon University. I have won several national competitions, including the 2015 VSA International Young Soloists Competition and the American Harp Society Foundation's Anne Adams Award. I focus on building strong technique and effective practice habits to give you the tools to play your favorite music. I also provide tutoring for the AP Music Theory exam and college audition exams. I loved learning advanced levels of music theory in college and am prepared to help you ace your AP test and continue into more advanced theory if you desire. I have been teaching students of all ages since 2017. I particularly enjoy teaching motivated adult students, although my two degrees in harp performance make me qualified to teach up to the highest levels of advanced students. I focus on quality technique and good practice strategies to help students of any age and level progress quickly. I also perform regularly for weddings and events, as well as in regional orchestras. Favorite venues include the San Diego Zoo, the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. I enjoyed playing at the Balboa Theatre with the San Diego City Ballet's 2019 production of The Nutcracker.
