I like to have fun while learning music!
I began piano at the age of 5 and voice at 9, I starred in high school musicals, marching band, competitions, and national anthem sports events. I studied music at San Francisco State University and Los Angeles College of Music. After all these years of teachers, classes, and methods I have developed my own method to learning music, having fun!
Don't get me wrong my curriculum is very serious and goal oriented while I teach out of various books (listed below) but I also create games and more enjoyable ways to learn and then taylor them to your needs and level. Instead of singing scales to warm up, why not find a hit song that has the same elements and sing that? Instead of flash cards to learn piano notes, why not a game that teaches you music theory in half the time?
I love music and look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion with all of you :)

Sophia is a excellent instructor. She helped me learn the foundations of good singing technique. She also helps you break old habits. I am a Bass / Guitar Player but wanted a Vocal Lesson to further my musical abilities. She Showed me great vocal exercises as well and basic vocal techniques that will produce the best sound with the least amount of strain. She was also very fun and enthusiastic. Definitely recommend Sophia!!!+ Read More
