Hi there! My name is Sirena and I am a Singer-Songwriter based out of NYC, and will be a sophomore at NYU/Steinhardt this fall, majoring in songwriting and minoring in film. I was accepted into one of the countries most selective songwriting programs, and studying under Grammy-Award winning Phil Galdston and Dana Calitri. I grew up in Hamilton Heights, NYC where most of my inspiration for songwriting collaboration, community building came from. For 5 years now, I have been teaching songwriting and guitar lessons in local community gardens, and on online. I am a very friendly person, patient, and productive. My goal as a teacher is to help guide my students to reach their goals, whether that being writing their first song, recording their first song, connecting them with peers, and building a musical community. Looking forward to meeting you! Sirena

I've worked with Sirena as a collaborator for a while now. Although she wasn't my teacher, she does have the capacity and the skills of a great teacher; she is passionate about her craft and is willing to help others out as a songwriter. The advice she gives is constructive and helpful and she is understanding, patient, and is great at listening attentively to the people she works with - all qualities of not only a great teacher, but a great person to work with.

Sirena inspired me during each lesson. Her approach taught me to be less fearful while exploring concepts for songwriting. She is kind, thoughtful and passionate.

Sirena is a charming person and an excellent teacher. When it comes to songwriting I started with her from scratch and it only took me less than 2 years to greatly improve my songwriting skills. She was also my guitar teacher, her knowledge and experience helped me a lot to create more music. Thank you for passing on your passion and enthusiasm for music!
