Singing with Sean R.

Hi, my name is Sean, and I am currently a student at Cornish College of the Arts, about to begin my junior year as a Composition major. My style of composition lies more heavily on the songwriting and jazz side, however I have written for string quartet and other chamber ensembles in a more classical/modal style. I am also a vocalist who is now studying vocal technique, and world traditional vocals, such as classical Persian music. I have been playing guitar since I was 8 years old, and I have played many styles, such as rock, folk, pop, jazz, surf, and flamenco. I have been studying and playing flamenco guitar for about 5 years now, and it greatly influences my compositions. I have been playing electric bass for about 7 years, mostly in jazz ensembles at school. On electric bass, I have played Latin jazz, funk, bebop, standards, pop, and rock. I am a fun teacher, who is very intuitive to the students' needs, and encouraging of their interests and dreams in their path with music.
