It is my goal to spread an optimistic, proactive, and down-to-Earth perspective to my students by creating an atmosphere within the lesson where an insatiable thirst for knowledge can be coupled with a mutual respect for oneself and others. Being that my education and coursework has been in the field of Music Composition, I have developed a wide range of musical interests and abilities: As a composer, one has to understand and consider at all times, the History of Music, the Theory of Music, the Form of Music, and the Styles and Components of the myriad cultures of the entire world. My passion for the creation and performance of music has led me down a path that winds and crisscrosses the globe, giving me perspective into the countless ways that cultures interact with themselves and others through history. In my daily interactions with the people around me I continually strive to emote a humanitarian air and a relaxed sense of humor and sense of being at ease. It is my dream to give my students all the resources and tools they need to accomplish their musical goals and surpass their farthest-reaching desires of music-making.
