I can teach multiple ways I have the ability to CONSISTENTLY turn average guitar students into great musicians. This goes far beyond merely teaching them to “physically play” their instrument - it requires me to turn them into self-reliant and creative musicians. THAT is the Holy Grail of being a master guitar teacher and is a big part of why I have wonderful success with all my students.

About Scott C.

Hi, my name is Scott and it's wonderful to meet you. I have been a guitar instructor for many years having great success with all my students.

I was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in the suburbs of Old Bridge, NJ, came from an artistically gifted family. I picked up guitar playing in the 6 grade and began composing by the 12th grade. During my time in high school, My musical compositions even appeared in short films by students from Rutgers University (Manson Gross School of the Arts), after which I began playing around the world and recorded several CD's winning Indie artist of the year on Indie Core. I have work in numerous cover bands seasoned my talents and opened doors to recording with other musicians. I also expanded to producing others, further broadening my musical horizons.

Scott is a truly gifted musician and teacher. He's taken me from someone who "plays a little" to someone who feels like a real musician. He is challenging, but encouraging, and always makes making music fun. He is also my daughter's teacher (age 12) and because of Scott she really looks forward to lessons and playing. I would wholeheartedly recommend him as a teacher.

I'm a self-taught guitar player who recently plateaued, and realized I couldn't improve without the tailored instruction and personal accountability a quality teacher such as Scott.

Prior to beginning lessons with Scott, my playing could be categorized as nothing short of reckless. I needed an intervention, before The Music Courts wrenched away custody of my beloved instrument for good; we are talking about the well-being of a guitar, after all.

Luckily, a friend gave me Scott’s contact info. I was pleased to find him immediately responsive to my email, and able to accommodate my difficult schedule so we could find a time to meet. The process began with statements of my goals, and a sober evaluation of my current skills. In just six months with him, I see massive improvements in myself, and enjoy playing in ways I never have before.

I would categorize Scott as professional, technically masterful, humorous, kind, and rigorous in his instruction. Scott's love and respect for his craft is abundant, and inspires me.
