Piano with Sarah D.

Sarah is an emerging pianist and guitarist. She has studied music at Utah State University and has been playing piano for 10 years, guitar for 6. She has performed with the University of Utah Chamber Choir and is currently studying piano under the University of Utah piano faculty. She concentrates on technique, theory, and skill when teaching her students. Sarah teaches any style requested but emphasizes the importance of classical music and the base it provides all musicians. Sarah has had several years of experience working with young children. She's worked as a preschool teacher, an after-school program teacher, and a nanny for several years. She has begun to build up a music studio because she has seen the strong affect music has on people and the changes it can bring in someone's life. Sarah strongly emphasizes a play-based approach when teaching young children by using fun games and rewards to help children gain a love for music.
