I teach Mandolin using the Suzuki method and then branch out into into bluegrass mandolin playing. The mandolin is tuned like a violin double strings. So the left hand fingering is the same as the violin and the picking is similar to the guitar. If you play the violin then the main thing you need to learn is the right hand picking. If you play the guitar then you will need to learn the left hand fingering. Mandolin is a fun instrument to learn and to play.
I have been teaching music for over fifty years. I have taught many professional teachers and students over the years. I have played professionally in Many Classical and Jazz groups. My quick start method gets beginners playing music right away. I studied classical violin from Don Samuleson, Prof

Hi, there! My name is Tony, and I'm a guitarist & clarinetist originally from D.C. I graduated from Berklee College of Music (Magna Cum Laude) with a Bachelor of Music in Performance, where I was a recipient of the WST and the BAS Scholarship. I've toured internationally and played at clubs all ove
I started learning the clarinet half a year ago after playing the piano for almost 25 years. Even though I have a lot of music background, I had to start from scratch since I have no experience in any of the woodwind instruments. I'm glad I found Tony to be my clarinet teacher because not only he is a very patient person, he also notices my strengths and also weaknesses, so that I could spend more time on things that I need to work on to be better at the clarinet.
He is very easy to communicate, lessons are always fun and productive, I've been having a lot of fun picking up this new instrument!
Tony is an amazing teacher, very friendly, and very enthusiastic about teaching. :)
Tony is doing an excellant job. He was highly recommended and they were correct.

My name is Kyusup or "Chris" and I'm a singer-songwriter, pianist, guitarist, bassist, producer, and sound engineer. I'm completely self-taught in all of the above mentioned categories for over a decade. I know exactly what you really need to know and all the questions you'll have.
I don't make you do tedious homework, exercises, and sheet reading. (I can also read music but I believe its only important for documenting, not as much for being creative. I've also majored in popular music studies, jazz performance, and sound engineering in order to justify the knowledge I've accumulated prior.
I write, perform, produce, mix/master and distribute all of my own music so all of that knowledge comes intertwined with the practicality of the knowledge that I will teach you.
