Violin with Sarah B.

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a recent graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, where I received both my MM as well as my BM degrees in violin performance. I've studied with with many world renowned musicians and am a very active international performer, performing from California and Colorado to London and Cuba. I am a native of California, born and raised in Los Angeles and have been surrounded by musicians my whole life. With both my parents and my brother playing the cello, I have always found passion and love for music and the community built by musicians. I started playing piano at a young age and after a few years transferred to violin which I then dedicated myself to and grew into my career. Lessons are whatever you need them to be, but in general I will focus on using scales, etudes and solo repertoire to: solidify technique, improve ear training, and expand your musical portfolio. I believe that music can be learned and loved by everyone from young children to adults and by people from all walks of life. The things we learn through communicating through music can be used in our day to day lives as well and as a teacher, I strive to adapt each lesson uniquely to each student and patiently solve any problem that comes our way together. Through teaching, I always strive to convey this universal passion in every student while simultaneously providing the appropriate solid foundation that they can take with them out into the world.
