    About Sarah A.

    Sarah gave her debut performance at the age of eight as soloist with the Akron Symphony. In May 2009, she gave her Severance Hall debut as soloist with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. Sarah served as concertmaster under Lorin Maazel at the Castleton Music Festival in 2012. She has also performed as soloist with the Toledo Symphony and the Southeast Ohio Symphony Orchestra. Sarah was the scholarship winner of the 2002 Sigma Alpha Iota String Competition in Cleveland, Ohio; the 2003 winner of the Toledo Symphony Young Artist Competition; the 2005 grand prize winner and 2006 first place winner of the Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra String Competiton. In 2014, she received in Bachelor’s degree from Rice University, where she studied with Kathleen Winkler. She is currently a student of Ani Kavafian at the Yale School of Music, where she plans to receive her Master’s degree in 2016. Sarah plays a 2002 violin by American maker Charles Rufino.
