While shopping for qualified piano teachers that have successful experience teaching toddler ages children, I luckily came across Miss Sara on. i would most definitely recommend her to all of my friends and family or anyone searching for piano instruction. From our first conversation, I knew she was an excellent fit and that she would be my four year old daughter's piano instructor. From her upbeat, friendly, helpful, and personable attitude; to her seasoned demeanor, extending patience and understanding with answering all of my questions and concerns...she assisted in our decision-making process without missing a beat. Sara was very responsive, attentive, and never seemed bothered by the vast amount of concerns I had prior to starting lessons. She listened to everything we expected, and needed, then she eliminated our financial concerns by tailoring a beneficial lesson plan that also fit into our budget. I sincerely appreciate her very caring, yet candid and honest, wealth of information. She made sure I was educated about and understood the importance of a decent starter keyboard, as well as, helped me narrow down options within our budget. She even went as far as to personally research equipment, per my criteria, in my area, and send me several different links to compare and review. Miss Sara's genuine helpfulness, knowledge overall, and reassurance without pressure was comforting throughout our decision making process. Once I informed her of our decision to formally select her as our piano instructor, she made an appointment with me to come to my home and meet everyone; from my daughter (her new student), to me, my mother, and even our cat! 😁 Again she re-explained everything in great detail; which I need and love! She covered all of the costs, my expectations and hers, and we set up our lesson schedule. Also, she also made sure that our physical practice area at home was set up appropriately and conducive to proper and successful home piano practices; from equipment inspection and advice, to proper posture, seating, lighting, and music stand placement. She then went a step further and explained the importance of proper posture and ergonomical seating while practicing especially for extended periods of time. I truly appreciate her very warm personable attitude, great expertise, and willingness, as well as flexibility, to work with all of my little qwirks. Lastly, if it were even possible (and it's not😉), I would say Miss Sara may be as excited, if not more, than my daughter is to get started with lessons! We can't wait! We feel extremely lucky, and look forward to the opportunity for this new, positive musical education endeavor we are about to embark on, with Miss Sara Hammond as my daughter's piano teacher. We loved having Sara teach our daughter piano in our home! She provided weekly lessons over a three year period and we found her to be encouraging, positive and enthusiastic. She was always prompt and used lesson time efficiently. She clearly communicated expectations, but made lessons fun at the same time. It was great to see our daughter's confidence grow as her skills developed. We highly recommend Sara for piano students of all ages.
