WELCOME!!
“We teach music not so that children (or anyone else) can make beautiful music,
But because music makes beautiful people”.
– Anonymous & my favorite quote

I try hard to present students with a solid, broad based approach with an emphasis on understanding the fundamentals of musical comprehension, music reading, musical memory, and ear development. These are essential to playing and enjoyment of any instrument! To this end we cover theory, music history, performance, technique and practical application. These basics are supplemented and reinforced by the monthly group sessions, several annual field trips, access to regional, state and national music competitions and performances, as well as the formal Student Evaluations each Spring. I have a full music lab, an extensive library of music and music reference materials and up to date postings on local free or low cost musical events While I tend to emphasize classical music and technique, we will also cover a ...

Ms. Panagiota is an excellent instructor. My kid loves the empathy and attention she gives to the details and ensures continued progress..
Alex K.
I’ve taken three online lessons so far with Panagiota, and they’ve all been excellent. She was immediately able to tell which exercises would be most helpful for my right arm technique, and I feel like I’ve made more progress in the last three weeks than I have for the last year+. I would unreservedly recommend taking lessons with her.

My daughter loves taking lessons from Panagiota! She is patient, kind, encouraging and a great teacher. We are very pleased.

Through my work with the M Gray Music Academy (Macy Gray) and my tenure at the Hollywood School of Rock as teacher and Show Director, I have developed successful programs for students ranging in age from 5 years old and beyond. I have mentored numerous young musical groups in beneficial rehearsal techniques, live performance and basically all the things you need to know about being in a band that wants to be great!

As we explore the exciting world of music, guitars, drums and percussion, we will cover all aspects of music theory, music history and ear training through video, audio and text examples.

Students will be provided with all the necessary tools to fully understand musical concepts and have the ability to play for recreation or at a professional level.

You won't need any books to start but I do suggest a small 3 ring binder for notes, literature, weekly hand outs and homework .

For drum students: we will start by evaluating your current level of ability and ...

Al is incredibly passionate about passing his expertise to the next generation. My son studied drum set with him for 3 years, and is now a jazz studies major in college. The enthusiasm and knowledge he will impart on your student is invaluable. Highly recommended!

Very fun guy, with an extraordinary amount of knowledge, talent, and overall passion for music. I’m really looking forward to my future lessons.
Steve M.
I am really lucky to have found Al. I am just learning my instrument as an adult and have tried three different teachers (as well as self-managed lessons) before Al. Why I am enjoying my lessons with Al so much is because he brings energy to the session, he encourages questions, he's ready (even excited) to dig deeper into the why of what I'm learning. He challenges you to get the basics and get them right, but he's also willing to indulge in a student's curiosity and let me take the lesson where I want to do as well. All this means I am developing a lot faster than I did when I tried to learn on my own. I'd highly recommend giving Al a try.

My experience with Cathy for vocal training had been nothing but educational and fun. I’ve learned so much about using the voice properly and for longevity, which is my goal. And tho some of the classes can dive deep there is always a lightness and compassion to them. I highly recommend checking her out if you’re looking to improve upon your total vocal production while having fun exploring techniques you may have never heard of.

"My daughter has taken lessons with at least 5 other voice teachers over the past 4 years, and Daniel is by far the best fit. He is encouraging and knowledgeable. The difference between a song we think she has down, and the song after she works on it with Daniel is just amazing. She wants to sing and play bass professionally, so we tap into Daniel's expertise about the music industry and bring songs for auditions, solos, performances, etc. to him with no advance warning and he teaches her how to approach them. He consciously expands her range on the low side as well as high side. Most importantly, he is very professional, kind and supportive about life, not just in music. And, of course, there is his amazing voice that can shake our house if we ask him to sing something!"

"Francesca is a wonderful teacher! She's very knowledgeable but shares that knowledge in a way that's easy to understand. I've been an amateur musician for over forty years and I've read a lot of books and watched a lot of videos. None of them explained the concepts we went over during our class as clearly and simply as Francesca. In fact, one of the things she explained had been staring me in the face for twenty or more years! She pointed it out and I had a "duh!" moment! She also has a great way of putting a student at ease and making you feel comfortable with her right away. It didn't feel like our first lesson together. Thank you, Francesca!"
