I am a college student with over five years of teaching experience and a great passion for piano. I specialize in beginner/intermediate lessons, and all ages are welcome! I will structure lesson plans for individual students, making sure to cater to the specific needs of each student. After taking lessons with me, you will be reading notes, sight-reading, and playing songs confidently and with great technique and musicality!

I am trained in classical piano, and I have been taking lessons for over 12 years. I took lessons with Dr. James Litzelman, who has been teaching in the Washington, DC area for 25 years, both as an Independent Music Teacher and as a member of the piano faculty of The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. I was most recently under the instruction of Dr. Dmitri Nazarenko, who also has many years of teaching experience and is a leading instructor in the DMV area.

Throughout the years, I've competed at and received awards/placements at many state-wide, regional, national, and international piano competitions, including the Viola Hartman Piano Competition, the Asian American Music Society International Piano Competition, and the Miriam Shields Gottlieb Memorial Piano Competition.

About Saniya H.

Hello! I'm a college student at The College of William and Mary studying Asian American Studies and East Asian Studies.

I am trained in classical piano, and I have been taking lessons since I was six years old.

Piano performance has been a huge part of my life since I was in elementary school, and I have loved sharing my passion and skillset with people who are willing to learn! I have been teaching piano on the side for five years now, and I am currently looking to expand a bit. I am looking forward to working with you!
